Motivation Monday: My 200th Post!

Devon Lee A Patient Genealogist
Devon Lee: A Patient Genealogist
I can not believe it. I started this blog in December 2010 as a way to share my family history with family members. Over the course I have discovered photographing memorabilia. I've taken a research trip to Ohio that I'm STILL processing all the information from. I've volunteered as a grave stone photographer. And I have started to share my knowledge of digital scrapbooking as it applies to family history albums.

In the next 200 posts, I will continue to share family history, memorabilia photographs, and digital scrapbooking information. I will surely share more things as well. I will continue to build my patience as everything comes together.

But today, I'm going to share the top ten most visited blog posts:

  1. Tech Tuesday: Help!? I don't know what to do next on Ancestry.com
  2. Tech Tuesday: How do I protect my family
  3. Tech Tuesday: I don't believe PAF is the best program for a beginner
  4. Motivation Monday: The Moment I Knew
  5. Thankful Thursday.. 20 pages of notes and I'm still not done
  6. Tech Tuesday: Family History Archives
  7. Wisdom Wednesday: Collateral Lines and Ancestry Searches
  8. Tombstone Tuesday: Oops! Check your photos before you leave
  9. Tech Tuesday: Clean Up Genealogy Online
  10. Franklin County Ohio Death Index, 1867 - 1908
This list seems to tell me that when I share tips and knowledge, that will attack more people to my little blog. According to many "Blogging" experts, that could be where I should head to make my blog more popular.

Well, I'll continue to share my tips, questions, and diatribes as I come across them. However, I think I'm going to stick with what my goals are and help my family learn their history. And if someone else learns from the memorabilia photography and family heritage album scrapbook posts that I write, all the better!

If the last month's top ten are worth their salt, then I'll still have some faithful followers. (Who by the way, I can't thank enough for reading my humble little efforts).

  1. Surname Saturday: Baumgartner Plat Maps 1856
  2. Tech Tuesday: How to Access Other People's Stuff
  3. Photo Friday: Turn Them Over
  4. Ugh... I wish RootsMagic will Sync with Ancestry.com
  5. Photo Friday: Lucky Photo Shoot
  6. Tech Tuesday: Tips for Submitting Update Requests to Find A Grave Volunteers
  7. Tech Tuesday: Separating Scanned Images with PaintShop Pro
  8. Heritage Scrapbooking: My favorite products for Digital Scrapbooking
  9. Photo Friday: Lightbox and Lighting Review
  10. Tombstone Tuesday: Gravestone Symbolism That I Don't Understand
Any way.. the celebration is done and the recap complete. Back to work!

    1. Welcome to the community Grant. I didn't think I would reach 200 posts either. Then one day I looked at how many I had published and realized I was approaching 200 and thought... really? Have I really been at it this long? Share what you have and you'll soon hit your milestones. Also, be sure to check out Jana, Elizabeth, and Stephanie's websites. I thoroughly enjoy their work. Sometimes I get lost in their posts and forget to work on mine!
